While some people are curious about how the world works, other the mechanics behind machinery, I have always immersed myself in jobs that were able to delve into how people work. The unfettered human spirit in its natural habitat, not content to just observe but to engage and interact with the “subjects”. These cumulative experiences are what set me apart from my peers, creating a uniquely individual perspective.
Ever evolving and adaptable, I recreate these traits in any way possible towards what I currently set my focus on. Having worked on the front lines and cutting edge of emerging music trends during my decades entrenched in the music industry. I have amassed an intimate understanding of the many factors that can influence culture. Having not only lived through it but had my hands involved in several facets of music subculture.
This was also the origins of “Grazin’ Styles”, a concept that continues to this day with its new incarnation. Taking all the experiences associated with its longstanding motto/catchphrase
“Hungry For The Perfect Mix” (people:music:environment)
and evolving it to represent an idea not far removed from its fundamental purpose. “What’s Your Story?”, is the best way to describe how I organically peel back key insights to draw the viewer in, keep them engaged and interested.
My Latest Projects
MEDAIR CANADA
It was a perfect challenge working with our nonprofit client for their national holiday direct mail donation appeal. In order to capture the hearts of their existing supporters our team tapped into the visual metaphor of exactly how their financial contribution is directly assisting people in need.
KNOB CREEK
This project was one based on research, insights and creative perspective. An exercise in using the products' packaging to highlight the unique product qualities. The creative copy-writist in me was able to really shine as I dissected the available label type to come up with some on brand strategic thinking.
